Welcome back to another episode, a little special episode of Elevate with Elsner, post-Winter Classic. We really wanted to get out here and talk about it because I got 10 quick hitting questions, he hasn't heard what I'm gonna ask about the Winter Classic, and we're gonna see some good answers here, right? Yeah. All right, let's do it. You ready? First off, what a game by the Blues, right?

Blake Elsner

It was good.

Mac Elsner

Yeah, they, I mean, they started off... Really good. Yeah, they felt the Let's Go Blues, the fans were into it. Was it cold? It was pretty chilly, it was a little wet, but you stuck it out, huh?

And I left, in fact, I left right here.

Right, with eight minutes left in the third period.

And then the fourth period was overtime.

Yeah, there was no overtime. Remember, they won six to two. We left when it was five to two.

Five to two. No, five to one.

Five to one, yeah. Five to one. So, all right, here are the 10 questions, buddy. You ready? Okay. All right, sit still because this is going to be, it's like rapid fire, all right?

It's rapid fire.

Rapid fire, like questions and then you get to answer them for me, all right?

Okay.

All right. So what do you think the players feel like when they play outside in that cold weather?

It's like so cold that you just freeze.

You think? That's what they do? So how do you think they stay warm, though?

They put a lot of stuff on them, their sofas, and then they, they like, they sit down until they leave, until they tell when they want to leave.

Yeah, okay. So, next question. If you could design a hockey jersey for the Winter Classic, what colors and what animals would you put on it?

A lion in blue, yellow, and red.

So a blue, yellow, and red lion. Blue, yellow, and red lion. That's... Blue, yellow, and... I don't... I can't think of anything. It sounds like a soccer team. But... Alright, I like that. I like the thought.

A lion... Yeah, my favorite. Those are my least like... I like to put them together.

Yeah, yeah. We're dealing with a little runny nose, aren't we here, buddy? From the elements. Battling the elements. You got to sit back here. Okay, question three. You ready, buddy? You got to pay attention. Remember, this is important questions that people want to hear. How do you think the ice stays frozen with the rain falling?

It's so strong it holds the rain.

It holds the rain. That's a good answer. I like that. So strong it holds the rain. And a lot of refrigeration trucks, right? Yeah, we got a little... We need a Kleenex break for this kid. No, hold on. Why don't you stay right here? We'll just use your shirt, right? We'll change after that. All right. Question four, because I thought these were going to be quick. If you were a hockey player, which you are, you've just started, what would your name and number be on your jersey?

Arizona and 80.

Arizona in 80? Okay, I like that. Next question. What snack do you think the players eat to stay strong and warm during that cold winter classic?

Vegetables and fruit.

You think they ate vegetables and fruit and that kept them going in the locker room in between periods? Tell us something fun about that.

When the boys played, it was like so many numbers. In Chicago, did they play like so bad?

Yeah, they did. So, let's do number six. Do you think it's fun or hard to play hockey outside?

Hard when it's the Winter Classic and easy when it's like inside.

Okay, that's a good answer, good answer. If we went to a Winter Classic, Again, where would you want to sit? Closer to the rink or where we sit?

Behind the penalty box.

Behind the penalty box, okay. What sound, number eight, what sound do you think the puck makes when it hits the stick or the goal post?

It does ding, boom.

Do we hear a lot of ding?

Yeah, ding when it hits the post.

Yeah, they hit some bar down. Number nine, if you were a goalie, what kind of cool helmet would you wear?

A rainbow helmet.

Rainbow helmet? No, you like the Bennington or the rainbow one?

Rainbow.

Sherbert? All right. Last question, number 10, what kind of hot chocolate would you want after the game if you were playing?

Rainbow hot chocolate.

Rainbow hot chocolate with sprinkles?

Yeah.

All right. That's good. That's creative. All right. Here's the last part, all right? Tell everybody what your favorite part of the game was.

The playing.

The players.

Bye.

Wait, wait. We got to go through the roster to end it out, right? We got the Senators coming up. They got some good teams to play against. And here, we're going to go down the box score and I'm going to tell you the number and let's see if you can guess the players, all right? Okay. Let's put you to the test. Here we go. Drum roll. All right. Number 10. Ryan Shed. Ding, ding, ding. Number 13. Troy Dechenko.

Number 18. Robert Thomas.

Number 20. Sod. Number 25. Kairou. Number 26.

26 Walker.

63. 63.

63. I don't know who that is.

63?

Who is that?

It rhymes with snake. Snap?

His first name rhymes with snake.

Snake of... Jake. Neighbor.

How can you forget? You forgot neighbors.

Jake Neighbors.

Yeah, you remembered it yesterday.

Alright, 70. Here, sit back.

I'm 70. Oscar Sundquist.

76.

I'm 76. I want to go now. It's too much.

It's too much pressure. 76 is your new favorite player. 76, Bulldook.

There you go, all right, we're almost done.

81?

Hallway. And 89?

89?

Who's 89? Boochie.

Oh, 89! Yeah.

I keep forgetting his name. All right, 55? Parenko!

72?

72, Falk.

75.

75? Um, Tucker. That hothead.

That hothead. I'm going to tuck her.

All right. And our goalie is 30.

Hooper!

And 50.

Bending 10.

All right. Come give a let's go blues. Say thanks for the excellent experience. Let's go blues.

Thank you for the excellent experience.
